Besides photographing everything I see and creating digital images, I also like to knit. Knitting is my Zen, my meditation. The feel of the smooth bamboo between my fingers, the ticking of the needles as I knit a stitch, the softness of the yarn, the satisfaction of seeing a project progress...there's nothing like it.

In the past week I added some designs that reflect my love of knitting. The first one features a Fair Isle motif. Fair Isle is a knitting technique named after an island off the coast of northern Scotland. You can read more about it at Wikipedia. I knit the Fair Isle sweater with Lopi yarn (from Iceland) several years ago, and it is one of my favorites.

The second designs is a photo of the yarns I used to make the Fair Isle sweater. The colors are so rich and warm, and they work so well together!

Make a custom stein on Zazzle

Then, I decided to add something fun! Last year, for a photography class assignment, I was taking pictures of objects around the house. I wondered into my son's bedroom to see what I could photograph, when I noticed the googly eyes on one of his toys. I took a close-up shot. Don't they remind you of the Geico eyes? Too bad they didn't come with a stack of money!
