Adding More Colors

It has been a little while since I last posted new designs to my store. I promise you I haven't been sitting still! I have been busy with my camera, recording the many colors that I have recently spotted all around me. I have also been doing some designing with Photoshop, adding some more color but not to a project related to nature.

Here are three colors that have been added to my Zazzle Store, starting with red:

When I spotted this tulip in my front yard I decided to take a look inside the bowl of petals. There I saw the heart of this flower, one that deserves to be shared.

Iris

The iris is one of my favorite flowers, and I have several of these purple beauties close to home. They are nice to look at out of my window, but to come up close and see the dark purple pattern on near white, or the white beard that turns to yellow inside, is simply marvelous!

Pink Sensations

Recently Added

My backyard is showing its spring colors with vibrant pinks, purples, and reds. I have been pointing my camera at all of them, hoping to capture their beauty the same way that my eye experiences it.

Below are a series of photos that I recently added to my Zazzle store. I am embarrassed to admit I am very bad about know names of flowers other than the most popular ones, and so the name this beautiful flower will forever be a mystery to me (unless one of you faithful readers can tell me). However, name or no name, I enjoy them nonetheless! I love now nature perfectly balances the hot pink with the yellow and white center. It makes the world a brighter place! I'm glad to be able to share these photos with you.

Lace Knitting

Recently I finished a lace beret for my daughter. She had been begging me to make it for her for weeks, and finally last week, she was able to wear it. It was a lace pattern, something I had not worked on before. Although it was easier than I had anticipated, it did require my full attention so that I wouldn't skip a step in the pattern. The yarn felt so soft, I was sorry that the beret was finished so quickly!

Before my daughter could run off with it, I wanted to take a close-up view with my lens. The result is now on Zazzle, as is a view of the whole.

I spotted this gorgeous cactus during a vacation in Death Valley National Park. I had to jump out of the ole camper van and take a picture! Such a beautiful flower! Have you ever seen such a vibrant pink? Springtime in Death Valley must be the best time of year to visit, and not just because the temperature is still bearable!

My backyard provides me with beautiful flowers almost year-round. In very early spring, the daffodils come up to bring some sunshine on a dreary day. This particular one looked so pretty, it was not enough to admire it from afar. I had to get up close to really appreciate the delicate features of this flower. I love the ruffled yellow trumpet, so beautifully framed by the pale yellow petals!
